Whitelisting
Definition
Whitelisting is when a brand is given permission to run a creator's content as a paid ad through the creator's own social handle. It is a separate right from using the video on the brand's channels, and it is usually priced and documented separately.

What Whitelisting means
A UGC scope sheet should state whether ad authorisation is included, for how long and on which platforms. The ad runs under your name, so you also carry the disclosure duty for the paid relationship.[1]
Why it matters
Agreeing usage and ad rights in writing before filming is how a creator keeps control of their name and avoids open-ended terms.[1]
